Fire at Norfolk gas station

Firefighters in Norfolk were called out to a gas station on Omaha Avenue Friday evening.

NORFOLK - Firefighters in Norfolk were called to a gas station on Omaha Avenue Friday evening.

The call came in just after 7:40 PM, reporting a fire at the Speedee Mart on 101 East Omaha Avenue.

Norfolk Fire officials tell NCN that Crews arrived on scene to find light smoke coming out of a wall on the inside of the store, but no flames were visible.

18 Firefighters and 4 rigs from Norfolk Fire and Rescue responded to the call. They had the fire under control in roughly 10 to 15 minutes.

No injuries were reported from the fire. An investigation into the cause of the fire and the amount of damage done is underway.
