NORFOLK, Neb. -- A local disc golf course is receiving a much-needed upgrade.

Skyview Park in Norfolk will be upgrading all 18 of their baskets to Dynamic Discs Veteran baskets.

The original baskets that the course used are not up to standards with modern day disc-catching requirements.

"Over the past 20 years, better technology has come up and better catching," said Ray Johnson, Vice President of the Norfolk Disc Golf Club. "They have been out in the environment the past 20 years, so the chains and catching ability have deteriorated."

The original baskets were discontinued in 2019.

Johnson said the new baskets will be installed by April.

If you would like to learn more about disc golf, you can take to a local Disc Golf Page on Facebook.

"We do have the Norfolk Disc Golf Club Facebook page. There are a lot of really good players in our area. We have three of the top 15 rated players in the state in the Norfolk area that call Skyview home,'' Johnson said. "So, if you want to get better, go ahead and reach out on the Facebook page."

Skyview Park is currently ranked the fifth best Disc Golf Course in the state.
