OMAHA, Neb. -- Police have identified a man who died in a Friday afternoon accident in Omaha near Creighton University.

The Omaha Police Department said that around 12:30 p.m. on February 11, officers were dispatched to a personal injury crash where a vehicle was on fire.

The accident happened on I-480 West and near 20th Street.

Authorities said that the investigation revealed that a 1988 Pontiac 6000 sedan had broken down in the #2 traffic lane.

OPD officials said that Ford F-150 pickup had struck and rear ended the Pontiac.

Authorities said that the Pontiac's gas tank had ruptured and the sedan became fully engulfed.

The driver of the Ford, a 28-year-old Omaha man, was uninjured during the crash.
