Two people injured, semi driver at large after Dixon County crash

ALLEN, Neb. -- Authorities were still searching for a semi driver on Tuesday morning after a Monday afternoon crash in Dixon County.

Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas said the crash occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. Monday when a Buick Enclave traveling northbound on Highway 9 was struck by an eastbound semi traveling on 866 Road south of Allen.

Thomas said the semi driver then left the scene of the crash in their vehicle.

The two occupants of the Buick were transported to Providence Medical Center in Wayne with minor injuries, Thomas said.

The crash remains under investigation as of Tuesday morning.
