ATKINSON, Neb. -- A fan-favorite event for any Huskers fan is returning tomorrow, with the annual Red-White game taking place at Memorial Stadium.
But it's not just about football.
In 2013 Jack Hoffman, who was fighting Pediatric Brain Cancer, scored a 69-yard rushing touchdown, not only winning the game for team red but winning the hearts of many.
The touchdown came with raising awareness for Pediatric Brain Cancer and kick-starting the Team Jack Foundation.
"The spring game elevated team jack and our national awareness which was the goal. It made childhood brain cancer a national priority and gave us an opportunity to really tell our story. ," said Kylie Dockter, the executive director of the Team Jack Foundation.
The foundation is holding a golf classic at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln on July 9.
Over 20 former huskers will be in attendance including Rex Burkhead, Spencer Long, and Kenny Bell.
Team Jack is also holding a raffle for a 1973 corvette. The raffle ends on April 20th.
