Stanton man sentenced for struggle with sheriff's deputy
A northeast Nebraska man was sentenced for biting a sheriff's deputy on the wrist during a struggle at a Stanton County residence late last year.

STANTON, Neb. -- A 28-year-old northeast Nebraska man was sentenced to six months of probation and 15 consecutive weekends of jail following his conviction for attempted assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Jordan Wagner-Munoz, of Stanton, was originally arrested for biting a Stanton County Sheriff's deputy during a struggle at a Stanton residence late last year and first appeared in court in January, according to Stanton County authorities.
The incident followed a deputy reportedly spotting Wagner-Munoz driving during suspension. Authorities then made contact at the residence, stating that during the ensuing struggle Wagner-Munoz allegedly bit a sheriff's deputy on his wrist. Wagner-Munoz was finally subdued when other officers arrived on the scene, Sheriff Mike Unger said.
A woman at the residence later faced charges for the incident and eventually pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer.
