NORFOLK, Neb. -- Residents of a northeast Nebraska town celebrated with a dance party...without bothering their neighbors.

The Norfolk Arts Center and Elkhorn Valley Museum co-hosted the first Silent Disco event in Norfolk on Saturday.

Organizers say over 40 participants were given headphones, which played music that they could dance to while hitting various stops around downtown Norfolk.

The non-profits partnered with locals bars to provide drink specials for participants, who danced their way through downtown, before final stops at the Arts Center and Verges Cave behind the museum for the rest of the party.
