Pierce County crash leaves two injured

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pierce County Wednesday night.

PIERCE, Neb. -- Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pierce County Wednesday night. 

The crash happened at approximately 5:00 p.m., with the road opening back up by 8:00 p.m.

Pierce County Sheriff, Rick Eberhardt said a southbound semi-tractor and trailer owned by Alter Trading Corporation and driven by 80-year-old Billy Eby of Neligh crossed left of center striking the northbound vehicle. 

The northbound vehicle was a 2008 Jeep Commander, owned by Robb Kuper, and driven by 21-year-old Jeremy Kuper of Pierce, officials said. 

Both drivers were transported by Hadar Rescue to Faith Regional Hospital.

Hadar Fire had also responded to the scene and were assisted by Norfolk Fire and Pierce Fire.
