Oakdale to celebrate 150 years with a weekend full of events

The small town of Oakdale will have its birthday celebration over the weekend with a variety of events for the community to come out and enjoy.

OAKDALE, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska town will be celebrating 150 years this weekend.

The small town of Oakdale will have its birthday celebration over the weekend with a variety of events for the community to come out and enjoy.

Starting tonight, a concert with John Peterson performing will be held at Oakdale Park at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, a parade will roll through town at 12 p.m. along with bounce houses, cornhole, and fireworks to end the night at 10 pm.
