Nebraska Tourism Conference underway in South Sioux City

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. -- The annual Nebraska Tourism Conference began its 3-day run in South Sioux City Tuesday.

Tourism industry professionals from across Nebraska will hear from a wide variety of speakers, learn about the latest tourism trends, and network with other industry members.

Tuesday's highlights include at 2 p.m. a regular meeting of the Nebraska Tourism Commission, which guides the state’s tourism efforts, and a 5:30 p.m. performance by the Many Moccasins Dance Troupe.

Wednesday's schedule is filled with speakers, updates on national tourism trends, and breakout sessions before wrapping up tomorrow evening with the 2-hour Taste of Dakota County featuring food trucks, vendors, and entertainment.

The final day of the conference on Thursday has more speakers and breakout sessions in the morning before concluding with the annual luncheon and the presentation of this year’s Nebraska Tourism Industry Awards.
