Snow emergency will be cancelled Thursday afternoon for Norfolk

Norfolk went into a snow emergency Wednesday at 12 a.m., and it will be effectively cancelled at 3 p.m. today.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- The City of Norfolk will be lifting the snow emergency Wednesday afternoon. 

Norfolk went into a snow emergency Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 12 a.m., and it will be effectively cancelled at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19. 

The City said that residents are asked to move their vehicles to the odd side of the street once it has been plowed to allow crews to fully clear the roadways. 

Citizens are reminded owners and/or occupants of real estate are responsible for the removal of snow and/or ice from sidewalks within 24 hours after the snow stops.
