Doc Sadler has returned to Kansas as senior advisor after residing on the Nebraska coaching staff on two separate occasions.

Sadler spent seven seasons as head coach of the Huskers, racking up 101 victories and three postseason appearances. He also led the team to nine wins over ranked teams and three seasons where Nebraska led the Big 12 in scoring defense.

After spending one season with the Jayhawks as director of basketball operations, he served as head coach of Southern Miss for six years where he led the team to two C-USA semifinal appearances.

Sadler returned to Nebraska as special assistant to head coach Fred Hoiberg and assistant coach for three seasons.

Sadler returns to Lawrence after the team had a disappointing ending to the season, with a second round loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks in March Madness. Sadler has immense coaching experience and will start quickly with the Jayhawks, as they are on the road in Puerto Rico.
