STANTON COUNTY, Neb. -- A Norfolk man was sentenced in Stanton County District Court Monday.

37-year-old Zachary Price will serve three years in prison for two charges he received in 2022.

Price was convicted and sentenced to two years for possession of methamphetamine as well as one year for theft by unlawful taking.

The Stanton County Sheriff's office said Price was originally sentenced to probation in both cases.

However, they said Price violated those probation terms, leading to the sentencing.

The Sheriff's Office said after Monday's sentencing, Price made a rude hand gesture to the judge.

The judge reportedly said, "I'll pretend I didn't see that."

Price will serve both sentences consecutively and consecutive to a Madison County Prison sentence for assault on a police officer.
