NORFOLK, Neb. --A new Associate Superintendent of Business Operations was recently announced for Norfolk Public Schools.

The NPS interview committee has chosen Erik Wilson as the new Associate Superintendent of Business Operations. Wilson has a "unique combination of leadership experiences to draw from."

Wilson has worked as an administrator with a superintendent certificate, has served in the Army National Guard and on the Norfolk City Council, and he has managed his own business.

During his tenure as Director of Student Services and Safety, Wilson has secured and supervised over $1 million in grants and built a "sustainable technology budget that accounts for future growth and needs."

Wilson has been with Norfolk Public Schools for 23 years, as a teacher, coach, and Assistant Principal. He will continue his current role as Director of Student Services and Safety through June 2024, while also beginning his transition to his new role, working closely with the Interim Business Manager, Tami Clausen, who has over 30 years of experience.

Approval of Mr. Wilson’s contract will be included on the Board agenda for Nov. 27.
