NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities arrest a Norfolk man for terroristic threats and third-degree domestic assault early Wednesday. 

The Norfolk Police Division said they responded to an assault that happened around 1 a.m. in the 100 block of Gold Strike Drive. 

Officers said they learned of a physical altercation between 30-year-old Dakota Wright and a woman, the victim. 

NPD said the victim told them that Wright hit her in the head and she showed the officers her injuries. 

The victim, according to officials, was able to show text messages from Wright that stated he was going to assault and kill her. 

Wright was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and terroristic threats. 

He is being held in the Madison County Jail.
