NORFOLK, Neb. -- The Elkhorn Valley Museum will be putting on "Carson Tonight" in celebration of Johnny Carson's 99th birthday.

The event will be Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Johnny Carson Theatre.

EVM said Carson Tonight will be a star studded event honoring the host's iconic "The Tonight Show" and his legacy in the world of entertainment.

The event will be hosted by Omaha Native, comedian and Seinfeld writer Pat Hazell. It will feature performances by magician Lance Burton, Jazz singer Nicole Henry, juggling duo The Passing Zone, ventriloquist Jay Jonson, and comedian Cathy Ladman.

Attendees will get to relive the magic of Carson's wit and charm, with highlights from his most unforgettable interviews and comedy sketches.

The UNL Jazz Orchestra led by Greg Simon, will act as The Tonight Show band and play from Doc Severinsen's original charts.

EVM said that after the show, those who attended the performance are invited to the Museum for birthday cupcakes, punch and to tour the Carson Gallery.

"We are excited for this celebration for Johnny," said Libby McKay Executive Director of the EVM. "Especially since this year many entities, which have benefited from Johnny Carson's philanthropy and from the foundation, are coming together to celebrate and express gratitude.

Collaboration makes it happen and we are so thankful for Faith Regional Foundation, Northeast Community College Foundation and the Norfolk Arts Center for being such great community partners. I think it would make Johnny Carson even more proud of his home town."

Tickets are currently available and can be bought at elkhornvalleymuseum.org or at the Elkhorn Valley Museum.

They are $35 in advance, and on the night of the event they will be $40 at the door.
