Ruskamp deemed not competent for trial, no review hearings until he's deemed competent

There will be no future review hearings scheduled for Carl Ruskamp after he was deemed not competent to stand trial, yet again.

WAYNE, Neb. -- There will be no future review hearings scheduled for Carl Ruskamp after he was deemed not competent to stand trial, yet again. 

Ruskamp has been accused of killing his father in September 2022.

It was decided at Ruskamp's Feb. 5, 2025 hearing that there will be no review hearings scheduled until the Lincoln Regional Center notifies the court that he has been deemed competent to stand trial. 

The charges that Ruskamp faces are first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. 

All of which he has pleaded not guilty to at this time.
