The King is back open in Norfolk with a new, modern look
The burger kingdom of longtime franchise owner Troy Uhlir is now back open after a three-month remodel.
NORFOLK, Neb. - The burger kingdom of longtime franchise owner Troy Uhlir is now back open after a three-month remodel.
Burger King on the corner of 13th St. and Pasewalk Ave. in Norfolk is now open with a new modern look.
During the three months, the dining room was closed, only allowing customers to order from the drive through.
Uhlir says the restaurant was originally built in 1978 and has gone through multiple remodels before, but nothing of this scale.
“Pushing for a new modern look,” said Uhlir. “More warm feeling in here with the bright colors it just feels like you’re having a whopper at home.”
Uhlir’s mom was a night manager in 1979 at the same restaurant. He had also worked at the same restaurant when he was 14-years-old.
“ I'm in both my restaurants almost every day,” said Uhlir. ” I know my team very personally, and if people do have issues they can find me so that’s what makes me different with theses other restaurants.”
The inside of Burger King is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the drive through is open until midnight.
