NORFOLK, Neb.— A night with former Husker stars is coming to Norfolk in October.

On October 18, four former Husker players will be answering questions, signing autographs and sharing stories.

The event is at the VFW from 6-10 P.M.

The community can learn Husker history from Johnny Rodgers, De’Mornay Pierson El, Keithen McCant and Vershan Jackson.

Rodgers won the Heisman Trophy in 1972, the first in Nebraska history.

Pierson El graduated in 2017 and played professional football at multiple levels after graduation.

McCant graduated in 1995 and played in the Canadian Football League.

Jackson won three National Championships at Nebraska.

The event is $20 a person, tickets can be found at eventbrite.com. All proceeds will be donated to the Norfolk Area Sports Council and Nebraska NIL, according to event organizer Joe Grof.

There is also an autograph opportunity available. For $20 cash, participants will get an autograph from all four Huskers. That money will go directly to the former players, said Grof.

Raffles, live auctions and door prizes of signed Husker merch from former and current players, will also be available.
