NORFOLK, Neb.- One person is injured after an UTV hit another vehicle and flipped on Norfolk city streets.

An eyewitness said he saw an UTV flip through the air around 11:30 Thursday morning.

Chief of Police Mike Bauer said in a statement that the UTV was traveling southbound on 5th St. when the driver swerved into the northbound lane around a truck sitting at the stop sign.

The driver then overcorrected trying to get back into the southbound lane, causing him to hit the drivers side of a pick-up sitting at the northbound stop sign, police say.

The UTV landed on 5th St. near Braasch Ave.

The witness said he saw the UTV driver walking down 5th St. towards Norfolk Ave.

First responders were on the scene within minutes and have said the crash is still under investigation.

The injured man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
