NORFOLK, Neb. -- The theme for Norfolk Community Theatre's 2023-2024 season has been announced.

The theme for the 2023-2024 season was announced as “A Season to Die For” by the Board of Directors.

They will be be putting on three murder mystery productions for Norfolk and the surrounding communities in northeast Nebraska. The third and final production of the season will be a murder mystery dinner theatre at the District Event Center.

The season will start Oct. 5, 8, 12, and 14 in the Cox Activity Center Theatre on the Northeast Community College campus. The first production will be "A Murder is Announced" by Agatha Christie. Adam Peterson will be directing this show. Auditions will be held on Aug. 22 and 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cox Activity Center Theater.

The second show of the season will be a musical comedy "A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder" by Freedman & Lutvak. The show will be directed by Libby McKay. This show will be Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, and Dec. 7 to 9. Auditions will be held on Sept. 5 and 6 in the Cox Activity Center.

The season will end with a dinner theater production of "Murder Me Always" by Lee Mueller. Holly Stanley is directing this show. The show will be held Feb. 29 to March 3 and will include dinner and a show at the District Event Center in Downtown Norfolk. Auditions will be held on Dec. 4 and 5 in the Cox Activity Center.
