NORTHEAST, Neb. -- A power outage has affected thousands across the northeast region of Nebraska early Monday morning.

Elkhorn Rural Public Power District reported at 8:17 a.m. that a transmission line from Norfolk to Antelope County had gone out.

The outage impacted 2,500 service members across Madison County, Pierce County, Tilden, Newman Grove and others.

Crews were dispatched and have worked to restore power throughout Monday morning.

As of 9:32 a.m. ERPPD reported crews were still working and that power had been restored to some areas of Tilden and all of Pierce County.

However, 1,284 services remained without power.
